DHAKA, Mar 29, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Md Atiqul Islam today said a team of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) will give its decision whether the FR Tower is safe for use or not within two days.
“A delegation of Buet visited the FR Tower which was affected by fire yesterday. It will assess whether the damaged building is risky or not,” Atiqul told reporters after visiting the FR tower at Banani here.
The fire fighters have already completed their operation in every floor of the building before handing over the building to police, the DNCC mayor said.
Several investigation teams of police have been working separately on the floors burned by fire, he said.
