Bangladesh lose to Kazakhstan in bronze-deciding match

DHAKA, March 29, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh failed to secure any medal on the
fourth day of Asia Cup Archery (Stage-1) now being held in Bangkok on Friday.

In the day’s compound women’s team event, Bangladesh lost to Kazakhstan by
229-200 in the bronze deciding match.

Though the Bangladesh women’s archery team comprising Susmita Bonik, Bonna
Akter and Shamoli Roy moved to the last four spot beating Iran 220-215 but
they lost to India in the semi-final.

In the compound men’s team event, Bangladesh men’s team comprising Asim
Kumar Das, Abul Kashem Mamun and Sheikh Sajib lost to Kazakhstan 228-222.

In the compound mixed team event, Bangladesh archery team comprising Asim
Kumar Das and Susmita Bonik moved to the quarterfinal beating Philippines by
152-150, but Bangladesh, however, lost to Malaysia by 154-148 in the
quarterfinal.
