Archer Roman Sana moves to final

DHAKA, March 28, 2019 (BSS)- It was an eventful day as Bangladesh’s leading archer Roman Sana moved to the final of the recurve men’s individual event in the Asia Cup (Stage-1) beating host archer Thamwong Witthaya by 6-2 set in the semi-final in Bangkok on Thursday.

Earlier, Roman Sana beat his Russian counterpart Tsybekdorzhiev Bair by 7-3 set to move into the semi-final before he defeated Myanmar’s Nay Lin Oo by 7-3 set in the quarter-final.

In the last sixteen, Roman Sana beat his Indian counterpart Sutradhar Swakirti by 6-0 set.

Roman will face Kazakhstan’s archer Abdullin Ilfat in the battle gold medal in the recurve men’s individual final schedule to be held tomorrow (Saturday).
