Hong Kong stocks open with losses
HONG KONG, March 28, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks dropped after
opening Thursday morning as global growth worries returned to the fore, while
investors are also keeping an eye on the start of a fresh round of China-US
trade talks.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.23 percent, or 65.05 points, to 28,663.20.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.43 percent, or 12.92
points, to 3,009.80 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, retreated 0.31 percent, or 5.21 points, to 1,649.48.
