Work with honesty to attain desired goal: Kamal
DHAKA, March 25, 2019 (BSS) – Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today said that it is possible to attain desired goal if anyone works with utmost honesty, sincerity and dedication.
“I believe it’s possible to reach the desired goal if we and anyone work with utmost honesty,” he said while addressing the Annual Conference of Sonali Bank held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh.
The function was addressed, among others, by Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, Sonali Bank Chairman Ashraful Moqbul and Financial Institution Division Secretary Md Asadul Islam.
During the function, the finance minister reciting verses from the Holy Quran and requested the officials and employees of Sonali Bank that they would not indulge in any kind of corruption.
Kamal said during his tenure as Planning Minister, he had given a tag line “The Ministry of Planning, where you have a dream”. After taking charge of the Finance Ministry, Kamal said he has given a new tag line “We believe in your honesty”.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir said although the state owned Sonali Bank has performed better in many sectors, but still there is high provision deficit in the bank.
He also suggested the bank high-ups to improve its classified loan situation.
