Bangladeshi students to get Griffith University Scholarships

DHAKA, MAR 25, 2019 (BSS) – The Griffith University has proposed to offer 25 scholarships over a period of five years for PhD programme to students from Bangladesh, today.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) and Griffith University in near future, said a press release.

‘Joint research activities and academic staff exchange facilities shall be conducted as per the MoU…The PhD scholarship, academic and research collaboration will enhance our research and development activities,” said UGC Member Professor Yousuf Ali Mollah, to the journalists. A three-member delegation from Australia, Professor David Grant, Pro- Vice Chancellor of the Griffith , Professor Peter Woods and Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s Business Development Manager Mostafizur Rahman called on Professor Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah today at UGC.

Professor David Grant, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Griffith University Australia expressed his desire to award the scholarships in the field of Science and Technology and Business Studies. UGC will select the candidates for the PhD programme from both public and private universities through open competition.
