3rd Indo-Bangla joint cycling expedition concludes

DHAKA, March 25, 2019 (BSS) – The 3rd joint Indo-Bangla joint cycling
expedition concluded today at Madhupur upazila under Tangail district.

Ghatail Area Commander and 19 infantry division General officer commanding
Major General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Bir Pratik was the chief guest at the
concluding ceremony.

Senior Army officials, Defence Attach of India in Bangladesh, civil high
officials of Tangail and participants of the expedition were also present,
said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)
Directorate.

A total of 30 soldiers and officers from Bangladesh and Indian armies took
part in the exercise.

Earlier, a 15-member of Bangladesh Army crossed the border through
Burimari in Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh and reached the Cooch Behar district of
India’s West Bengal on March 18.

The competition took place in India for four days before entering in
Bangladeshi territory on March 22, where they cycled for four more days.
