JS body for arranging jute fair to expand marketing
DHAKA, March 24, 2019 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Textile and Jute today suggested arranging “jute fair” under the Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) in respective areas of the lawmakers to expand the jute-marketing.
The committee also decided to build the “Sheikh Hasina Sonali Ash (golden fiber) Building” with the financial support of the government.
The JS body of the 11th parliament held its first meeting in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its Chairman Mirza Azam in the chair, said an official release.
Committee members: Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, Md Israfil Alam, Ranjit Kumar Ray, Abdul Momin Mandal, Khadizatul Anower and Tamanna Nusrat (Bubli) and chief whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury attended the meeting.
Senior officials of the Textile and Jute Ministry and other officials concerned were present at the meeting.
