Polls open in first Thai election since 2014 coup
BANGKOK, March 24, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Thailand went to the polls Sunday for
the first time since a 2014 coup, authorities said, in a crunch vote pitting
the junta against its old political enemies and the untested new force of
millenial voters.
Polls opened “at 92,320 polling stations across the country,” Election
Commission secretary-general Jarungvich Phumma told AFP.
