Momen calls on Estonian President Kaljulaid
DHAKA, March 22, 2019 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has met Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Momen met Kaljulaid on Thursday on the sidelines of the BAPA+40, the Second High-level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation, held in Buenos Aires, according to a press release of the Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the United Nations received here today.
During the meeting, the Bangladesh foreign minister highlighted the Bangladesh’s progress in different sectors, including women empowerment, socioeconomic development and ICT sector, achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
They discussed the scopes of exchanging expertise and knowledge in ICT sector between Bangladesh and Estonia.
Estonian President Kaljulaid invited the Bangladesh foreign minister to join a function to be arranged in the United Nations headquarters in April this year, commemorating Estonia-born American architect Louis Kahn, who designed the architecture of Jatiya Sangshad Bhaban (National Assembly Building) located in Dhaka.
