BNS ‘Somudro Joy’ leaves for Malaysia

CHATTAGRAM, MAR 21, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Navy Ship (BNS) ‘Somudro Joy’ today left the Chattagram naval jetty for Malaysia to participate in the ‘Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, LIMA-2019’.

With the presence of the officials and the crew members, the warship was bade farewell according to the traditional style of Navy as uniformed musicians playing instruments, on the eve of the departure.

The arms display will take place from 26-30 March, and naval ships, warships and military personnel from different countries of the world including Bangladesh will participate.

Under the leadership of Captain M Abdul Wadud Tarafdar, the captain of the Bangladesh Navy Ship, 263 people, including 43 officers and 43 midshipmen, will participate in this exhibition.

The warship is expected to return home on April 20, 2019, after the naval drill.
