Regional SME fair begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, MAR 21, 2019 (BSS) – A seven-day long Regional Small and Medium Entrepreneurs’ (SME) products fair begun at Independence Square in the town today.

SME Foundation organized the fair with the help of Gaibandha BSCIC (Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation), Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), National Association of Small and Cottage Industries of Bangladesh (NASIB) Gaibandha and Sonali Bank Ltd, Gaibandha.

The objectives of the fair are to make publicity, expand sell and promote the SME products in local and international levels side by side generating entrepreneurs at grass root level.

Whip of the Jatiya Sangshad Mahabub Ara Begum Gini inaugurated the fair morning through releasing balloons in the sky attending the function as chief guest.

A discussion meeting was held at the Independence Square with deputy commissioner Abdul Matin in the chair.

The whip said SME products would push the country forwards towards our desired development goal.

Mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon, president of GCCI Shajada Anwarul Quadir and manager of SME Foundation Rahul Barua were present.

Cultural function and indigenous sports would be held to entertain the visitors at the fair.
