Arrest warrant issued against Khaleda in another case
DHAKA, March 20, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today issued warrant to arrest
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in a case lodged for making derogatory
remarks about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the present government.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Ziaur Rahman issued the order this
afternoon, a court official said.
President of Jananetri Parishad AB Siddiqui filed the case against Khaleda
On January 25, 2017 for making those alleged derogatory remarks at a rally in
the capital’s Engineering Institute on December 31, 2016.
After recording statement of the plaintiff, the court had asked the
authority of Shahbagh Police Station to submit a report in this regard.
