FAKE-NOTE-SEIZURE (with picture)
Fake notes of Tk 8 lakh seized: 4 held
RAJSHAHI, March 20, 2019 (BSS) – Detective Branch (DB) police arrested
four persons with fake notes worth Taka eight lakh from Dewanpara area under
Katakhali Police Station in the city last night.
According to the DB sources, the arrested persons were identified as
Jony Hassan, 27, son of Samaun Ali, Jony Ali, 26, son of Masud Rana, Suman
Rana, 27, son of Rejaul Karim and Insan Mian, 22, son of Nurul Islam. All are
the residents of Shayampur area under the same police station.
On a tip-off, a team of the detective police conducted a sudden raid in
the area around 12.30 midnight and arrested them with the huge forged notes.
Quoting their confessional statement, the DB officials said they were
involved in manufacturing and trading of fake note for long.
A case was recorded with the police station concerned in this
connection. The arrested persons with the seized notes were handed over to
police.
