Man held with 20 gold bars in Jashore
JASHORE, March 20, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)
arrested an alleged gold smuggler with 20 gold bars worth Taka over 1 crore
from Amrakhali Checkpoint area under Sharsa upazila of the district this
morning.
Zikrul Alam, son of Alek Mollah, is a resident of Mangolpur village
under Lohagara upazila in Narail district.
On tip-off, a BGB team intercepted a India-bound bus of “Desh Travel” at
about 5 am in the area and arrested him with the gold bars, said Salim Reza,
Commanding Officer of BGB-49 battalion.
A case was filed in this connection.
