SC clears way for tender process of Shahjalal airport expansion work

DHAKA, March 19, 2019 (BSS) – The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) today scrapped a High Court order that had stayed the tender process for the expansion work and constructing third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The court of Appellate Division Chamber Judge came up with the order after holding hearing on a plea filed against the High Court order, a press release said.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas and Barrister Md Jahangir Hossain appeared for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism before the apex court.

The High Court on March 18 stayed the tender process after holding hearing on a writ filed in this regard.
