Saifuddin injury leaves Abahani in discomfort
DHAKA, March 18, 2019 (BSS)-All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin sustained a back injury during Abahani Limited’s practice session today at the national academy ground at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The injury ruled him out in Abahani’s important Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match against Shinepukur Cricket Club tomorrow at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium. A team official of Abahani said he was rested for the tomorrow’s match only as the injury looked nothing serious.
Saifuddin is also a vital cog of Bangladesh’s ODI squad as he was grooming up for the replacement of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
The all-rounder has been in good form in DPL, scoring 55,4 and 59 not out in the three matches he played for Abahani. He had also taken three wickets in three matches.
