AL working to celebrate Bangabandhu’s 100th birth anniversary worldwide: Hanif
DHAKA, March 17, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif today said the ruling party has already started working to celebrate the Bangabandhu’s 100th birth anniversary on a large scale in the global arena in next year.
“We want to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu from national level to international arena on a large scale,” he said.
The AL leader said this after placing floral wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the 32 Bangabandhu Bhaban in the city’s Dhanmondi area.
Hanif informed that the party has already started working to bring in world’s renowned poets and literature writers at the 100th centenary celebration function in the country.
Mentioning that Bangabandhu and Bangladesh is a unique entity, he also said that Bangabandhu means Bangladesh, Bangabandhu means independence.
The AL joint general secretary also vowed to work relentlessly along with other party leaders and workers under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to materialize the dream of Bangabandhu.
“This is our pledge on this 100th birthday of Bangabandhu,” he added.
