BCB Academy Cup kicks off tomorrow
DHAKA, March 17, 2019 (BSS)- The second edition of BCB Academy Cup,
organized by the BCB Game Development Committee, will begin tomorrow (Monday)
at different venues across the city.
The inaugural edition of the tournament was held last year, a successful
venture that prompted BCB to go with it.
A total of 32 private cricket academy teams including four new academy
teams across the country, splitting into eight groups will take part in the
tournament.
In the first edition of the tournament, only academies from Dhaka took
part. However, the BCB this time included four more academies outside of
Dhaka in a bid to unearth more talents from the grassroots level.
The opening ceremony of the event will be held at the City Cub ground,
Mirpur at 8:30 am.
On the opening day, three matches will be held. Gulshan Youth Cricket
Academy will take on Golden Boy’s Cricket Academy at City Club ground while
Barishal Talent Hunt Cricket Academy will face off Khelaghar Cricket Academy
at Jagonnath Hall ground.
In the day’s other match, Friends Social Welfare Cricket Academy will lock
horns with Shishu-Kishore Cricket Academy at Fatullah Outer Stadium.
