Liton vows to turn Rajshahi a clean city
RAJSHAHI, March 17, 2019 (BSS)- Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM
Khairuzzaman Liton asked all the officials and staffs concerned to render
their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to make the efforts of making
the city neat and clean a total success.
“I’m committed to build the city green, clean and eco-friendly within the
shortest possible time as per demands of the city dwellers,” he added while
addressing a waste management related meeting with his office colleagues at
the city bhaban conference hall here yesterday as chief guest.
Liton says the officials and employees who will be adjudged as good
workers will be appreciated and awarded to inspire others.
Chaired by Panel Mayor Shariful Islam Babu the meeting was addressed, among
others, by Panel Mayors Rajab Ali and Tahera Begum, Chief Executive Officer
Shawgatul Alam, Secretary Rejaul Karim, Chief Engineer Asraful Haque and
Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun.
Mayor Liton terms the ward-secretaries along with officers and employees of
conservancy section including its supervisors as vital force for attaining
the cherished goal and urged them to put in their level best efforts to this
end.
He also sought whole-hearted cooperation of the city dwellers to
supplement the city corporation’s efforts as without their support the
cherished goal could not achieved.
Liton asks his staffs to motivate the people against dumping household
wastes besides the roads and other public places haphazardly.
He said sound health is the most important wealth and urged all the city
dwellers including the traders and businessmen to maintain cleanliness to
improve environment to build a healthy nation.
