Programmes taken to celebrate Bangabandhu’s birthday in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH, March 16, 2019 (BSS)- The district administrations have
chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the 99th birth anniversary of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children
Day-2019 in Mymensingh tomorrow.
District administration sources said the programmes will begin with placing
floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at circuit house of the
district at 9 am.
The other programmes chalked out by the district administration include
children’s gathering and rally, competitions on drawing, essay and ready
speech on Bangabandhu’s historic March 7 speech, discussion on life and works
Bangabandhu and independence of Bangladesh, cultural programmes, screening of
documentary films on life of Bangabandhu and the Liberation War.
To mark the day, special diets will serve among the orphans, milad and doa
mahfil will be held at all mosques, offering of special prayers at mandirs,
churches, pagodas and other places of religious worships.
Besides, Mymensingh Shishu Academy and Press Club have also be taken
different programmes in observance of the day.
