DHAKA, March 16, 2019 (BSS) – Security agencies overnight arrested one Khan
Mohammad Altab Hossain on charges of fraudulence using the name of research
group Suchana Foundation which is headed by Saima Wazed Hossain as its
chairperson, officials familiar with the issue said.
“He is now in custody and awaits subsequent legal actions,” an official
source told BSS.
He said Altab Hossain used to claim to be an activist of the campaign for
physically challenged and autistic children, associating with the Suchana
Foundation.
He said Altab Hossain used a name card describing him to be the chairman of
Swadhinata Autism and Pratibandhi Society” and president of “Bangladesh
Muktijoddha Projanma League” and “Swadhinata MBA Association”.
A Suchana Foundation spokesman said the organization does not have any link
with Altab Hossain.
“We urge all to remain alert against any such fraudulence,” he said.
