ARREST-SATKHIRA
56 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, March 15, 2019 (BSS) – Law enforcers, in special drives arrested
56 persons including two drug traders from eight upazilas of the district in
last 12-hour ending at 8am this morning.
Law enforcers also recovered 200 grams of Ganja and 101 pieces of Yaba
tablets during the drives.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 14 persons, Kalaroa Thana
police arrested five persons, Tala Thana police arrested four persons,
Kaliganj Thana police arrested five persons including a drug trader along
with 100 grams of Ganja, Shyamnagar Thana police arrested nine persons,
Assasuni Thana police arrested nine persons, Patkelghata Thana police
arrested four persons and Debhata police arrested four persons.
Meanwhile, Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate drive arrested a
drug trader along with 101 pieces of Yaba tablets from Sadar Thana.
In another drive, Members of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC)
arrested a drug trader along with 100 grams of Ganja from Sadar Thana.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
