Experts for preparations to adapt robotic technology

DHAKA, March 13, 2019 (BSS) – Experts at a seminar today underscored the need for taking perpetrations from now to adapt the robotic technology in future to continue the development flow.

They came up with the observation while speaking at a seminar on “Industry 4- Transformative Technologies for Growth and Development” at hotel InterContinental in the city.

Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs) of Prime Minister’s Office M Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest while Economic Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr Mashiur Rahman and Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury attended the seminar as special guests.

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam presided over the seminar.

Abul Kalam Azad said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has formed the National Skilled Development Authority (NSDA) to develop skills of the country’s youth as they can adapt themselves with the changing world.

“We will have to use the high technology without any fear. We will have to be ready to adapt ourselves with the use of robotic technology in all sectors, including production, industry, education and health,” he added.

Aminul Islam said technology is playing a vital role to change the civilization.

“The impact of technology in human life is very much. But, both the potentialities and challenges are there in the technology. People are our main strength. By making them manpower, we will use the potentialities of technology,” he added.

Two research associates from the Harvard Law School Dora Sari and Xiaoran Chen also took part in the seminar.
