DHAKA, March 12, 2019 (BSS) – A case was filed implicating seven persons, including left leaning students alliance panel
vice-president (VP) aspirant Liton Nandi and Quota Reformists’ VP elect Nurul
Haque Nur, and 30-40 others unnamed for allegedly assaulting Rokeya Hall
provost during the DUCSU polls yesterday .
A female student from Rokeya hall filed the case last night with Shahbag
Police station, said officer-in-charge (OC) of the station Abul Hasan.
Apart from Nandi and Nuru, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) general secretary
(GS) aspirant Anisur Rahman Khondakar, Chhatra Federation GS candidate Umme
Habiba Benjir, independent candidate for VP post in Rokeya hall Sheikh
Mousumi and Swatantra Jote aspirant for struggle for independence and
liberation war affair secretary in central union Shrobona Shafiq Dipti were
also named in the case, the OC said.
