Man held with 2,000 yaba tablets at Shahjalal airport
DHAKA, March 11, 2019 (BSS)- Members of Airport Armed Police Battalion
(AAPBN) today arrested a passenger carrying 2,000 yaba tablets at Hazrat
Shahjalal International Airport.
“Shohel Rana, 22, came to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar on Regent air flight
around 1.30 pm. Based on secret information, AAPBN members arrested him from
domestic terminal area of the airport. Police challenged him and found the
contraband drugs after searching his body and luggage,” ASP of AAPBN Md
Alomgir Hossain Shimul told BSS.
The estimated value of the Yaba around Taka six lakh, he said.
Later, the arrested was handed over to the Airport Police Station and a
case was filed in this regard under the Narcotics Control Act.
