FF Mafizul Haque laid to rest with state honour in Narail
NARAIL, March 11, 2019 (BSS) – Veteran Freedom Fighter and former
commander of Lohagora Muktijoddha command council Fakir Mafizul Haque was
buried in Lohagora Bazar graveyard with state honour on Monday morning.
Before the burial, his Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Lohagora Pilot High
School premises at about 9:00 am.
A team of police gave him guard of honour.
Narail deputy commissioner (DC) Anjuman Ara, police super M Jashim
Uddin, Lohagora upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Mukul Kumar Maitra, assistant
commissioner MM Arafat Hossain, former commander of Narail Muktijoddha
command council M Kabir Hossain, among others, were present.
Mafizul Haque died in a cardiac arrest at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib
University Hospital in Dhaka on Sunday morning. He was 72.
He left behind his wife, three daughters and a host of relatives to
mourn his death.
