DHAKA, March 11, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman today said the Ducsu polls were held in a fair and peaceful manner.

He said this after the end of the election at 2 pm.

“Students set an example by casting their votes in a disciplined way. Enthusiastic students cast their votes in a festive atmosphere,” he said.

However, the voting to Bangladesh Kuwait Maitree Hall will be continued to 5.30 pm as the polling was halted due to protests waged by left leaning Quota reformists and Swatantra Jote leaders and workers.

The voting in Rokeya Hall was halted by the protesters and it will again commence at 3pm.
