EU hopes Venezuela reconsiders expulsion of German ambassador
BRUSSELS, March 7, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – The European Union said Thursday it hopes Venezuela will reconsider its expulsion of the German ambassador as the EU seeks to maintain all lines of communication with the feuding sides.
“We regret the fact the German ambassador is pressed to leave the country,” said Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini. “The European Union hopes this decision can be reconsidered.”
