Speakers for using jute packets to ensure safe environment
KHULNA, March 6, 2019 (BSS) – Experts at a discussion here today underscored the need for using jute packets to ensure safe environment.
They were addressing a discussion meeting marking the National Jute Day held at the conference room of Khulna Circuit House.
With the cooperation of the Directorate of Jute under the Textiles and Jute Ministry, Khulna district administration organised the meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ziaur Rahman chaired the meeting while deputy director of Agriculture Extension Department Pankaz Kanti Mozumder, Additional Police Super Md Badiuzzaman and General Manager of BJMC Gazi Shahadat Hossain also addressed the meeting, among others.
Assistant Director of the Directorate of Jute Md Sirazul Islam delivered the welcome speech.
Representatives of BJMC, Jute Goods Merchants Association of Khulna, Jute Goods Business Welfare Association of Khulna and Rice Mill Owners Association, among others, were present.
Earlier, a colourful procession was brought from city’s Shaheed Hadis Park and it ended come on Circuit House premises.
