DMP-FINE-TRAFFIC VIOLATION
DMP realizes Tk 35 lakh fine over traffic violations
DHAKA, March 6, 2019 (BSS) – The traffic division of Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) has filed total 6,779 cases over traffic violations and realized
Taka 35, 66, 050 as fine in the capital yesterday.
“Police also sent 11 vehicles to dumping and 891 more to wrecking,” a
DMP release said.
The DMP sources further said cases were filed against 1, 337 vehicles
for going into wrong way, 133 vehicles for using hydraulic horns, eight for
using hooters and beacon lights and 15 microbuses were booked for using black
glasses on windows.
“Cases were also filed against 2,532 motorcycles for violating traffic
rules and 140 more were seized. Thirty drivers were also booked for talking
on mobile phones while driving,” the release added.
