RAB-WINE-ARREST (with picture)
One held with smuggled foreign wine in Rangpur
RANGPUR, March 6, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested
an alleged drug trader with 302 cans of foreign bear and 48 bottles of
foreign wine worth about Taka five lakh from Katchari Bazar area in the city
on Tuesday night.
On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 from its Rangpur battalion
headquarters conducted a sudden raid at McDonald Fast Food and Bakery, seized
the smuggled wine and bear and arrested the drug trader, a press release of
RAB-13 said today.
The arrested person is Md. Shahin Rahman, 32, son of Md. Tazibar Rahman
of Islampur Honumantola area under Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Thana of the
city.
During primary interrogation, arrested Shahin admitted his involvement
with trading of foreign brand wine, bear and drugs for a long time, the
release added.
After filing a case in this connection against the arrested person, the
elite force handed him over to Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Thana police
today.
