Drug paddler held with 1,870 bottles wine in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, March 6, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
in a drive arrested an alleged drug paddler with 1,870 bottles of wine in the
city last night.
RAB sources said the arrested person was identified as Shahim Ali alias
Shimul, 28, son of Lokman Ali of Khorda Gobindapur village under Charghat
Upazila in the district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden raid at
Shilinda area under Rajpara Police Station in the city around 12.30 midnight
and arrested Shimul with the huge country-made wine.
According to the RAB sources, the arrested person was involved in
trading and trafficking of various types of drug items including wine, yaba
and phensidyl for long.
The arrested person along with the seized contraband items was handed
over to police after lodging a case with the police station concerned today.
