Epyllion Group emerge champion in BGMEA Cup-2019
DHAKA, March 1, 2019 (BSS) – Epyllion Group emerged champion in the BGMEA Cup-2019 Football Tournament for the first time after beating Bando Design of Laila Group by 4-3 goals in tiebreaker in the final today held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium.
The stipulated time of the match ended in a goal-less draw. Then the match result was determined through tiebreaker.
Bappi of Epyllion Group was adjudged as the man of the final while Raju of the same team was adjudged the best goalkeeper. Mridul of the runners up team Bando Design Ltd was adjudged as the man of the tournament.
After the final, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi handed over the trophies and the awards to the champion and runners up teams and to the best players in various categories.
BGMEA President Siddiqur Rahman, former President Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, FBCCI President and former BGMEA President Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, vice presidents SS Mannan Kochi, Mohammad Nasir, Mahmud Hasan Khan and BGMEA directors were present, among others, on the occasion.
