Khasru for flourishing national culture

NETRAKONA, March 1, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today underlined the need for flourishing of national culture to keep the society free from terrorism, militancy and drug abuse.

“We must flourish our national culture and let our young generation to know about our traditional heritage to inspire them in building their mindset with the spirit of patriotism and keeping them away from drug abuse, fundamentalism, terrorism and militancy” he told the inaugural function of the 14th conference of Udichi Shilpi Goshthi (USG), Netrakona district unit, at local public hall.

Prominent writer of the country Professor Jatin Sarker formally inaugurated the conference, chaired by President of the USG, Netrakona district unit Muzammel Haque Bachchu.

The inaugural function was addressed, among others, by Habiba Rahman Shafali, MP, general secretary of the USG central committee Jamsed Anwar Tapon and USG central leader Sarwar Kamal Robin.

Khasru, also a valiant freedom fighter, said that the anti-liberation forces are still active and they are hatching a deep-rooted conspiracy to tarnish the image of the country by patronizing fundamentalism and militancy.

In this context, he called upon the cultural activists to forge a greater unity among them by rising above their self-interests to foil all the evil designs of the anti-liberation forces and uphold the spirit of the liberation war.
