SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 28, 2019 (BSS) – Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal
today told the parliament that there were a total of 2,66,118 loan defaulters in
the country till December 2018.
“The list of top 20 loan defaulters has been published, but the names of some
defaulters were not included in the list due to the stay orders of the High Court,”
Kamal said while responding to a starred question placed by lawmaker Waresat
Hussain Belal of Netrokona-5 in the House with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin
Chaudhury in the chair.
As per the Credit Information Bureau of Bangladesh Bank, the top 20 bank
defaulters are Quantum Power System Limited, Samannaz Super Oil Ltd, BR
Spinning Mills Limited, Suprov Spinning Limited, Rimex Footwear Ltd, Rising Steel
Limited, Computer Source Limited, Benetex Industries Ltd, Max Spinning Mills, SA
Oil Refinery Ltd, Rubya Vegetable Industries Ltd, Anowara Spinning Mills, Crescent
Leather Products Ltd, Suprob Rotor Spinning Limited, Yasir Enterprise,
Chowdhury Knitwears Ltd, Siddique Traders, Rupali Composite Leather Wear Ltd,
Alppa Composite Towels Limited and MM Vegetables Products Ltd.
