AL to build Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Bangabandhu

RANGPUR, Feb 28, 2019 (BSS) – Leaders of Awami League (AL) and its
associate bodies at a discussion have said AL will build a prosperous Sonar
Bangla as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

They viewed this on Wednesday night at the discussion organised by the
district unit of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League in celebration of the 50th
founding anniversary of the organisation at its office in the city.

The district unit of Mohila AL chalked out various programmes like
hoisting of the national and party flags, placing of wreaths at the portrait
of Bangabandhu, discussion and milad mahfil.

With President of district Mohila AL Mortuza Mansur in the chair, General
Secretary of district AL Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju attended the discussion
as the chief guest.

Office Secretary of district AL Tauhidur Rahman Tutul, its Publicity
Secretary Rosy Rahman, Women Affairs Secretary Latifa Shawkat, General
Secretary of district unit of Mohila AL Advocate Zakia Sultana Choite, its
Law Affairs Secretary Advocate Shahana Rahman and President of district
Chhatra League Mehedee Hasan Rony addressed.

Presidents and General Secretaries of different upazila units of Mohila AL
also addressed the discussion moderated by Organising Secretary of district
Mohila AL Afsana Akhter Shampi.

Mortuza Mansur narrated the glorious history of AL and Mohila AL saying
that the country achieved independence through the War of Liberation under
the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“Currently, AL is building a prosperous Sonar Bangla free from hunger,
poverty and discrimination under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s able
daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to make independence meaningful for
every citizen,” she said.

The speakers laid emphasis on forging a rock-solid unity among leaders,
workers and activists of AL and its associate bodies for building a middle
income nation by 2021 and a developed Bangladesh by 2041.

The chief guest urged leaders and workers of AL and its all associate
bodies for reaching information on unprecedented developments achieved by the
AL government led by Sheikh Hasina in last ten years to further strengthen
her hands.

“Bangabandhu and AL are remaining as sources of all inspirations,
movements for rights and achievements,” he said adding that the country is
now on its way to build a Sonar Bangla under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s
leadership.
