One held with 30,000 yaba tablets in Dinajpur
RANGPUR, Feb 26, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested an alleged drug trader with 30,000 pieces of smuggled yaba tablets from Dinajpur district town this afternoon.
“On a tip off, an operational team of the crime prevention company-1 of RAB-13 from its Dinajpur Camp conducted a raid in front of the SA Paribahan Office in Dinajpur town, seized the yaba tablets and arrested the drug trader,” a press release of RAB-13 said.
The elite force also seized Taka 3,400 in cash from the possession of the drug trader.
The arrested person is Jahangir Hossain, 42, of Chhoto Dangapara in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district.
“During primary interrogation, the arrested admitted his involvement with trading big consignments of yaba tablets and other drugs in the guise of a cosmetics trader for long,” the release said.
After filing a case in this connection against the arrested person, the elite force handed him over to Dinajpur Thana police.
