Khasru expresses dissatisfaction over slow implementation of ADP projects

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS)- State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock
Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru expressed dissatisfaction over slow implementation of
his ministry’s projects under the Annual Development Programme (ADP).

“Leave your position voluntarily for the public interest to ensure quick
implementation of ADP projects,” he told the project directors yesterday
during a review meeting of project implementation of subsectors under
fisheries and livestock ministry.

The state minister chaired the meeting and discussed the progress of
project implementation during the current financial year.

According to the meeting, fisheries and livestock ministry allocated Taka
900 crore for implementation of 44 projects in the current fiscal year 2018-
2019 (FY19). However, the meeting was informed that the average-progress of
project implementation attained during the current fiscal year till January
2019 is 34.43 percent.

Out of the total allocation, Taka 284.47 crore has been spent during the
last seven months of the FY19, said the meeting.
