GAZIPUR, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS) – Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman on
Women and Children Affairs Ministry Meher Afroz Chumki today said the
government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has
been playing a vital role for the overall development of women.
“Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had a vast
contribution in the development of women. Now his daughter Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina is working for the betterment of women,” she said, speaking at
a workshop of women entrepreneurs at Kaliganj here.
Department of Women Affairs (DWA) organized the workshop with the
association of Upazila Administration and Upazila Department of Women Affairs
with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Shibli Sadiq in the chair.
DWA Joint Secretary Md Ataur Rahman, Kaliganj Upazila Chairman Md Moazzem
Hossain Polash and Joyita Kaliganj Project Director Sultana Razia, among
others, addressed the programme.
