BSTI files nine cases against food shops
KHULNA, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS) -Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has
filed nine cases against food shops for selling adulterated foods.
The BSTI conducted six mobile courts in different shops and checked quality of
foods alongside digital weighing machines from February 17 to 20, according to a press
release.
The release said the BSTI mobile courts conducted drive in different sweet shops,
grocery shops, departmental stores and sea food here in Khulna.
Director of BSTI Md Abdul Mannan said a total of nine cases have been filed against
shop owners for selling unhygienic and adulterated foods and avoiding weighing
machine.
The shops were Daulatpur Dairy, Poshupoti Ghosh Dairy, Islamia Sweet, Bismillah
Misti Mahal, Vatiapara Mistanna Vander, Rahman Drinking Water, Jalalabad Sea Food and
Islamia Misti (second) in the city.
