Regina King wins best supporting actress Oscar (‘Beale Street’)
HOLLYWOOD, United States, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Regina King won the best
supporting actress Oscar on Sunday for her portrayal of a mother defending
her daughter’s boyfriend, wrongfully accused of rape, in “If Beale Street
Could Talk.”
King bested a tough field that included Amy Adams (“Vice”), Marina de
Tavira (“Roma”), and Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz, both in “The Favourite.”
