Speakers for youth’s participation in development activities

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at a workshop today called for ensuring greater participation of the youth in the country’s development activities to achieve the development goals of Vision-2021 and Vision-2041.

They made the call at the workshop on “Strength of Youth, Prosperity of Bangladesh” at the Barisal Circuit House, said a press release here.

Chief Coordinator (SDG Affairs) at the PMO M Abul Kalam Azad attended the workshop as the chief guest while Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Kazi M Aminul Islam was as the keynote speaker.

Public Administration Secretary Faiz Ahmed and Secretary in-charge of the Industries Ministry Abdul Halim were present as special guests.

Abul Kalam Azad said the government will have to implement 33 issues and 205 targets as per the election manifesto.

“So, participation of youth in the development activities is essential to achieve the targets and transform the country into a middle-income one by 2021,” he added.

To attain the goals of Vision-2021 and Vision-2041, Kazi Aminul Islam said, the work-oriented and life-oriented innovative powers of the youths should be properly utilised ensuring a congenial atmosphere in the country free from militancy, terrorism and corruption.
