70 technical interns to go to Japan without migration cost: Imran

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad today said as part of the government’s efforts a total of 70 technical interns would leave for Japan in phases without migration cost.

“Third batch of 70 technical interns will go to Japan through ‘I am Japan’ organisation without migration cost from March,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a function at the ministry conference room.

Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training organised the function on the occasion of technical interns visit to Japan with its director general M Selim Reza in the chair.

Acting Secretary of the Ministry Rawnak Jahan and chief executive officer of ‘I am Japan’ organization Kyoi Yanagisawa spoke on the occasion.

Describing Japan as a genuine friend, the state minister said initiatives would be taken soon to expand Bangladesh’s labour market in Japan, adding, “Keep confidence in Bangladesh’s youth.”

CEO Kyoi Yanagisawa said that one of the main reasons for giving opportunity to go to Japan without migration cost so that interns can play role in the country’s development work as entrepreneurs by improving skilled and experiences.

Representatives of the technical interns including Nasrin Akter, Khusbu Akter and Ziaur Rahman exchanged views at the function.
