14 party alliance leaders visit Chawkbazar fire spot
DHAKA, Feb 23, 2019 (BSS) – The leaders of 14 party alliance Bangladesh today visited the spot of the deadly fire that broke out in Chawkbazar area of Old Dhaka on Wednesday night.
Led by the general secretary of the Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal, Dilip Barua, the members of the 14 alliance party visited the fire spot this noon.
The Home Affairs Ministry and the city corporations must act tough in issuing certificates for reserving chemicals, the former Industry Minister Dilip Barua said that while talking to the journalists, after visiting the spot.
The leaders present there expressed their concerns about taking necessary steps as soon as possible to free the residential areas from chemical storage.
Anisur Rahman Mallik, leader of the Workers Party, Dr. Shadat Hossain, General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Ezazul Haque Mukta, Presidium member of the Jatiya Party(JP), S.K. Shikdar, leader of Bangladesh Gano Azadi League, Nader Chowdhury, leader of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD), were present, among others, during the visit.
