Two held with phensidyl, Yaba in Chapainawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 23, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers and recovered 185 bottles of phensidyl and 50 Yaba tablets from their possession in separate drives on Friday night.
The arrested persons are Md Serajul, 40, son of Md Abed Ali of Namachakpara village under Shibganj upazila and Md Asadul Islam, 22, son of Md Fitu Mia of Satrashia village under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.
RAB sources said, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-5 raided a mango orchard adjacent to Naldubri Bazar under Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district at about 9 pm on Friday and arrested Serajul along with 185 bottles of phensidyl.
In another drive, BGB 53 battalion from Wahedpur Border Out Post (BOP) raided frontier Gamerchar area under Shibganj upazila in the district at around 8 pm and arrested Asadul with 50 pieces of Yaba tablet, BGB sources said.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to Shibganj Police Station with two separate cases.
