Fourth-phase upazila polls on March 31
DHAKA, Feb 20, 2019 (BSS) – The fourth-phase election to 122 upazila
parishads will be held on March 31 while the fifth-phase will start on July
18.
Election Commission (EC) Joint Secretary SM Asaduzzaman told newsmen the
detailed schedule of the 4th phase UZ polls here today.
According to the schedule of fourth-phase upazila poll, the last date of
filing nomination paper is March 4 which will be scrutinised on March 6. The
last date of withdrawal of nomination is March 13, said the EC joint
secretary.
The election to total 481 upazila parishads will be held in five phases
this time.
As per the election schedule, elections will be held in 87 upazilas on
March 10 in the first phase, in 129 upazilas on March 18 in second phase and
in 127 upazilas on March 24 in third phase, he added.
