BNP to repeat mistake if boycott upazila polls: Tajul
GOPALGANJ, Feb 18, 2019 (BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development and
Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam today said that BNP would make
another mistake if they boycott upcoming upazila polls.
“As BNP is a political party, they should take part in the upcoming
upazila election…The party would make another big mistake if it boycotts
it,” he said.
Tajul came up with this observation while talking to journalists after
placing wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara, Gopalganj.
Secretary of the ministry M Kamal Uddin Talukder, LGED Chief Engineer
Abul Kalam Azad, Gopalganj district Awami League president Gazi Golam
Mostafa, city mayor Sheikh Ahmmed Hossain Mirza were present on the occasion,
among others.
Later, the minister visited different development works at Kotalipara
upazila being implemented by Bangabandhu Poverty Alleviation and Rural
Development (BAPARD) under Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
