Hong Kong stocks rally at open
HONG KONG, Feb 18, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks climbed more than one
percent at the open Monday on rising hopes that China and the US will reach a
deal to end their trade war.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 1.35 percent, or 377.03 points, to 28,277.87.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.65 percent, or 17.43 points,
to 2,699.82 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stock on China’s
second exchange, gained 0.69 percent, or 9.65 point, to 1,399.12.
