Effective role of govt officials makes country corruption-free: Sadhan
NAOGAON, Feb 17, 2019 (BSS) – Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today
said the role of the government officials is effective to eliminate
corruption from the country as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared zero
tolerance policy against corruption.
“The goal of the present government is to make Bangladesh as developed one
by 2041… However, to achieve this goal, officers of all government
departments must work and play vital roles in making the country free from
corruption,” he said.
The Minister came up with this call while addressing the monthly
coordination meeting of Naogaon district as the chief guest.
With Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mizanur Rahman in the chair, the meeting was
held at the conference room of the DC.
The present government must implement the electoral manifesto declared
before the parliamentary election held on December 30 polls for building
Sonar Bangla dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman.
He said unprecedented development of the country has been taken place for
the honesty and dynamic leadership of the premier.
Terming Bangladesh as a role model of development across the globe, he
said other countries of the world are now interested to follow our country.
“We have to uphold the pace of development since Bangladesh has already
achieved several targets of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs),” he
added.
“We already have started to walk towards achieving the ‘Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs)”, he continued.
Naogaon Superintendent of Police Md Iqbal Hossain, all the district level
officers, upazila parishads chairmen, upazila nirbahi officers and all the
members of the district coordination committee were present.
